Probably the simplest things you can do to support the Arizona Emergency Information Network (AzEIN) is to bookmark AzEIN.gov on your desktop and mobile browsers, fan us on Facebook and/or follow us on Twitter.
But let's say you don't use social media. Let's say you don't know what "YDK" means, and, frankly, you're fine with that. How then can you support the public information mission of AzEIN? Whether you use social media or not, the best way to advocate for AzEIN is to get prepared--make a plan, build a kit and be informed--and inspire others to do the same.
One way to both get prepared and inspire others is to participate in the popular Emergency Kit Cook-Off. Every National Preparedness Month in September, a new list of Featured Ingredients is announced. The public is then issued a challenge--create a recipes that uses at least one Feature Ingredient supplemented with only nonperishable pantry items.
